Do you want to find the IP address of the sender in order to know from where you got a mail in to your inbox on Yahoo! or Gmail? Follow these steps to find the IP address:
Ymail:- First log in to your account in yahoo mail, then open the mail of which you wanted to know the sender’s IP. Now, on top of your mail a wheel symbol will be present, when you place your mouse on it shows ‘More actions’, click on that a list will be displayed, select ‘view full header’ from that list. A dialog box will appear where you can see a lot of data and many IP addresses out of which you should select IP address that is preceeded with ‘X-Originating-IP’. The IP address present there is the Ip address of the sender.
Gmail:- Open Gmail and then log in with your account details, open that particular of whom you wanted to know the IP address. After opening click on the down arrow present at the side of the reply button on the top right corner of your mail. A list will appear select ‘Show original’ from there, then a new tab opens showing you some data. Here a lot of Ip addresses will be present, in order to get the sender’s IP look for the IP address located in ‘[]’ brackets and which is preceeding with ‘Received: from’. The IP present in those bracjets is the sender’s IP address that you want.
