Although direct messages on Twitter doesn’t create any problem but generally we don’t like to see so many DMs, so we try to delete them but it is not possible to delete loads of DMs at once in Twitter. There once used to be a program called DM Wacker which now no longer exists. But no need to worry there are two more alternative solutions for deleting direct messages.
SocialOomph: (www.socialoomph.com)
Using SocialOomph you can purge all your DMs from Twitter but first you need to register. There is a choice of deleting direct messages older than 30 days and 7 days, with this you can keep some DMs which are important. Be careful while deleting them because if you remove all the direct messages at once then you can’t be able to get back the message which you deleted by mistake and they would be lost forever.
InboxCleaner: (www.inboxcleaner.com)
InboxCleaner helps in deleting your Twitter direct messages easily and quickly. Fist you need to go to inboxcleaner.com and click on “Sign in with Twitter” button. After logging in, you will be redirected to another page where you need to authenticate so that the app could use you Twitter account. Then you’ll be redirected to inboxcleaner and will take some time for check number of DMs you have sent and received. With this you can delete your entire inbox and outbox, and even there are separate options for deleting the messages based on word or phrase or messages form a particular user.
