Lava is planning to enter the table market in February 2012 with its first launch being a tablet that will be available at a price of ` 5500 which is expected to feature Android v2.3, Gingerbread operating system, 7 - inch capacitive touchscreen display and runs on 1GHz processor. The tablet market has been increasing at a rapid pace in India and with the launch of Aakash tablet recently there is being a lot of talk on tablets. There are many tablets on board presently being available in the market and Samsung Galaxy Tab is been one of the tablets that are on demand and Apple ipad2 is one among them. We have o wait and see how Lava makes it mark and how it goes in this tablet market which is heavily competitive.
