Ionic film Devadasu completes exactly 60 years by today. This film was released exactly 60 years ago on 26th June 1953.This film was a big block buster in those days which was viewed not only by older generations of the 50’s but also by younger audience and finally this film became one of the memorable film in Telugu film industry till today.
On the name of Devadas with same story so many movies came in different languages but this is the only film stayed in every heart in which Akkineni Nageshwara Rao acted. In this film Savitri acted as a lead actress and she did a very great job at the young age of 17th.
This film is directed by Vedantam Ragavaiah and distributed under Vinoda Pictures. The musical score were composed by C.R.Subburaman also became a big musical hit at that time.
