Most of us use Google’s Gmail service for send and receiving emails. Sometimes it would be very frustrating when we try to send .exe, .dll or .bat files through Gmail. Gmail doesn’t allow you to send these files as the executable files may contain virus. So here is an alternative way for sending such files though Gmail, just follow the below steps.
Step1: Open “My computer”, on the menu bar click “Tools” and select “Folder Options”.
Step2: “Folder Options” widow will pop-up, select “View” tab and uncheck “Hide extensions for known file types”.
Step3: Go to the .exe file which you want to send through Gmail. Change the file’s extension form .exe to .txt or .jpeg which extensions are allowed by Gmail [example: if the file’s name is GTA.exe then change it to GTA.txt] and now you can send the file to your fiends through Gmail.
Step4: When the file is received tell them to change its extension to .exe and the program can be executed. The file will not be corrupted and also there will be no lose of data.
