Did you loose your ‘Show Desktop’ icon present in the quick launch toolbar unknowingly or accidentally? Then follow these simple steps to get back that lost icon. Open a new notepad, for opening ‘right click’ on the desktop, place your mouse on ‘new’ and then select ‘notepad’. A new text document will be opened now copy this code and paste it in your notepad

After pasting the code go to ‘file’ menu located at top left corner of the notepad and select ‘save as’, now name you file as ‘Show Desktop.scf’ and click ‘save’. Upon clicking save, your file will be saved on to your desktop with name ‘Show Desktop’. Thus you have created your lost show desktop icon, now just drag that icon to your quick launch toolbar and hence you got back your show desktop icon in your toolbar.
