Did you ever face a situation where you cannot delete your files and in the process some errors will be displayed like ‘Cannot delete folder: It is being used by some other program’, ‘access is denied’, ‘disk is not full or write-protected’ error etc when working on Windows? If you have undergone that situation, then here is a solution for those kinds of problems. Generally these type of ‘access is denied errors’ occur if you are not the administrator of the computer you are working on as some permissions are blocked by the administrator. In that case you cannot solve the issue, as you need admin authentication. If you are the admin and if the same problem occurs again then it has to be looked upon and should be sorted out. Those files do not get deleted because they might be locked. To delete those kinds of files first you need to unlock those locked files and then delete them. For deleting those files which show ‘cannot delete file’ error go through these steps.

Download 'Unlocker' software here:
www.download.com/Unlocker/3000-2248-10493998.html?part=dl-Unlocker&subj=uo&tag=button

Download and install this free software then, right click on the file or folder that you want to delete and select unlocker. Upon selecting unlocker, a window opens where you can select a process and click on ‘kill process’ present at the bottom left of the window. In the left drown down you will given some options like delete, move, copy and rename, form where you can select a particular action to be applied on that file or folder.
