Sony is out with its new ‘Xperia U’ smartphone in India and will be available for sale from middle of this month or by the end of May. The exact price at which it will be sold is not yet known because according to two online shopping website Lets Buy and Flipkart the price of Sony Xperia U are mentioned as INR 17, 399 and INR 16,499 respectively. So we have to wait for the official announcement of the cost of this smartphone. The features of Xperia U smartphone include 854 x 480 pixel screen resolution, 3.5 – inch LED Backlid LCD display, 5 megapixel rear camera along with LED flash can record 720 pixel resolution videos, VGA front camera, powered by 1GHz dual core processor, 512 MB RAM, runs Android v2.3 Gingerbread operating system and will later be upgraded to Google Android 4.0 – Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. Sweep Panorama, Geo-tagging and Image Stabilization, 8GB internal memory, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS etc are some other features of this new smartphone from Sony. Sony Xperia U will be available in retail stores by the end of this month and are currently available for pre-order now at online retailer ‘LetsBuy’ at a price of INR 17, 399.
