Steps to install fonts in LINUX:
Step1: You should have the font files with you otherwise just download them through web. Generally the font files have ".ttf" extension.
Step2: Place .ttf file in /usr/share/fonts/truetype folder, this truetype folder will be under protection. SO to open it, first you have to open TERMINAL and type “gksu nautilus /usr/share/fonts/truetype” (type without quotations).
Step3: Now the truetype folder can be opened, place your font file. That’s it!
