Then your wait is over as MIPS Technologies and Ingenic Semiconductor together announced a new high performance, low cost tablet powered by Ingenic’s JZ4770 mobile application processor that runs at a speed of 1GHz. The tablet from MIPS & Ingenic will be available in 7-inch or 8 – inch or 9 – inch capacitive multi touch screen with other features including dual front or rear cameras, microSD slot, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 1080 pixel video decoding and Vivante GC860 graphics processing unit for graphics support.

The world’s first tablet that runs Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich OS will be available online and in China through Ainol Electronics at a retail price of less than $100 but, may be available within few months in other countries.
