Avast antivirus is a widely used software developed by AVAST software and was first released in 1988, AVAST stands for “Anti Virus Advanced Set”. It works on Linux, Palm OS, Macintosh and Windows xp/vista/7 operating systems.
It includes features like network shield, behavior shield, mail shield, web shield, script shield, virus chest, P2P and IM shields, resident protection, system integration, automatic updates, audible alarms, antivirus kernel, virus cleaner, boot scan, built-in anti-rootkit and anti-spyware.
