Mozilla Firefox is a free and open source web browser managed by Mozilla Corporation and is one of the most commonly used browsers across the globe. Initially Firefox is named as Phoenix but due to some issues with Phoenix Technologies it was later renamed as firebird. To avoid confusions with Firebird free database software project and due to the pressure from the database server's development community, finally the browser was renamed as Mozilla Firefox on February 9, 2004. The browser has sandbox security, phishing and malware protection which protects from worms, spyware, trojans and viruses. With add-ons more than 5,000 Firefox allows its users to customize their browser.
